Our safety. our security.

security is essential.

Residents of the 39th Ward must feel safe in their own community. On top of successfully advocating for more officers in the 16th and 17th Districts, I also led the charge to bring cutting-edge technologies to the 39th Ward to help solve and prevent crime. My previous experience as the former Chief of Staff at the Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management has informed my public safety-related decisions as Alderman.

Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart:

“Alderman Nugent approached me with an idea to deter rising catalytic converter thefts. Thanks to her initiative, The Cook County Sheriff’s Office coordinated the first converter painting event in the 39th Ward. We have done multiple converter painting events in communities since, and it all started with Alderman Nugent. The 39th Ward has a champion for public safety representing them in City Hall.”
